Please try to read (browse, at the very least) the first 25 pp. of Ralph Shanks' book (per syllabus). His talk will be SO much more valuable to you if you do. BTW, you are welcome to invite others to join us for the first 45 minutes. And bring his book with you if you want him to sign it--which you will, after his talk.
